My time with North Light Studio II is starting to wind down as the weather and light patterns of the day changes the deeper we move into Autumn and Winter. The outdoor studio served me extremely well this summer, enabling me to put in a lot of work into my Wet Plates, as well as shooting film and digital. Great light is just that... Great to be used with a box camera, paper and pen or canvas and paint.

My time with the studio wanes with every passing day, but will give me much anticipation for next year. Hopefully our summer will start a bit earlier than it did this year.

Desperately Seeking Marilyn...

Wow, and it wasn't like she was trying... This woman just has a look of Marilyn. I imagine the cottage out on Long Island in autumn...



In fact, this was "Marilyn" at her home on a nice cloudy day with a bit of chill in the air earlier in the year not too far from Seattle. During the session, we decided to take a break on the porch, but the light and mood so befittingly clamored for more photos...
